Ukrainian midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka has terminated his cooperation with the Romanian club ChFR Cluj, according to an official message on the club's website. The contract with the 34-year-old winger was terminated early by mutual consent of the parties.
"CFC Cluj and player Yevhen Konoplyanka have agreed to terminate the contract. We thank him and wish him success!", the club's official statement reads.
Konoplyanka joined CFR Cluj in the summer of 2023, signing a contract until June 30, 2025. During the current season, he appeared on the field only 4 times, spending 54 minutes on the field. His last appearance in an official match took place on November 6.
After the termination of the contract with CFR Cluj, Konoplyanka received the status of a free agent. It is not yet known where he will continue his football career.
Let's note that CFR Cluj is in second place in the tournament table of the Romanian championship, having scored 36 points after 21 rounds. Yevhen Konoplyanka previously played for such clubs as Dnipro, Sevilla, Schalke, Shakhtar and Krakow. As part of the Ukrainian national team, he played 87 matches and scored 21 goals.
