Ukraine is actively preparing for the National Selection for the Eurovision 2025 international contest, which will be held in Switzerland in May next year. The choice of the country's representative on the international arena is already at the finish line, and it became known who exactly will evaluate the performances of the participants.
Members of the jury of the National Selection were elected by Ukrainians by voting in the Diya application. After the selection, it has already been announced which of the Ukrainian stars will be the judges of this important competition. There were a total of 10 candidates for these positions, including Dmytro Hutsuliak, Jamala, Dmytro Zezyulin, Kateryna Pavlenko, Oleg Psyuk, Anna Sviridova, Serhiy Tanchynets, Katya Tsaryk, Sasha Chemerov and Dmytro Shurov.
According to the voting results, the singer Jamala received the largest number of votes. She took first place with 156,000 votes, which is 35.28% of all votes. Jamala, who won Eurovision 2016, has been a member of the National Selection jury for several years in a row, and next year she will again join this important process.
Second place among the candidates was taken by the leader of the band "Bez Obmezhen", Ukrainian musician Serhiy Tanchynets. He received 89,000 votes (20.24%) and already has experience working as part of the jury of the National Selection, so he will be part of this process for the second year in a row.
The third judge was the frontwoman of the band Go_A, Kateryna Pavlenko. In 2021, her band represented Ukraine at Eurovision and took fifth place. The singer received 52,000 votes (11.84%), and now she will evaluate the performances of the participants from Ukraine.
