The youth MMA team of Ukraine won the first place at the world championship held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ukrainian young athletes impressed the world sports community with their achievements, winning 33 medals in three age categories.
For the fourth time in a row, the best national team in the world, in three age categories, Ukrainian representatives of mixed martial arts won 33 medals at the world championships in Abu Dhabi.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine informs.
The mixed martial arts team of Ukraine took first overall team place at the world championship among children, youth and juniors in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
This is the fourth achievement in a row: the Ukrainian youth MMA team is the best among 700 athletes from 47 countries of the world.
Ukrainian boys and girls won 33 medals in three age categories:
Gold – 8 medals;
Silver – 10 medals;
Bronze – 15 medals;
Ukraine finished in 22nd place in the medal count of the 2024 Olympics, which is the best result in 12 years. The USA became the winners of the medal count, ahead of China in the number of silver awards.
