Yuriy Lutsenko left the army due to health problems

Yurii Lutsenko, a well-known Ukrainian politician and former Minister of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor General of Ukraine, announced his resignation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to health problems. Lutsenko's move was a consequence of his participation in Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In an interview with the Rendezvous program with Yanina Sokolova, he said that even before the war he underwent an oncological operation, after which only a third of his pancreas remained, which caused serious health problems.

When his brigade was taken out of Bakhmut for recovery to the Rivne region, Lutsenko felt a significant deterioration in his condition. In combat conditions, he was mobilized as much as possible, but in the rear, his health began to deteriorate rapidly.

Lutsenko noted that his younger son, who is 24 years old, is now serving instead of him, and he himself is helping his brothers with everything he can.
