According to People's Deputy Serhii Demchenko, the introduction of martial law in Ukraine can be beneficial for Western partners, as it opens up opportunities to increase the amount of aid to the country in solving urgent issues and strengthening defense capabilities. In the video message, which became the subject of a wide discussion, the politician reveals his position on martial law and its possible advantages for Ukraine.
People's deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction, Serhiy Demchenko, said that not a war has been legally declared in Ukraine, but a state of martial law. He reported this in the commentary "News. LIVE".
"There is no war going on in Ukraine, the country is currently under martial law," Serhiy Demchenko said.
In particular, funding from partners depends on this. According to him, only the declaration of martial law enables Western partners to help us in one or another direction in full.
Demchenko noted that the partners are limited by the norms that exist in the legislation of their countries, international norms, and NATO. Many issues, including work with the IMF, depend on whether a war has been declared in the country or a state of martial law. For states that are at war and those that are not, there are completely different conditions, namely the possible limitation of cooperation.
