Starting June 1, 2025, the state application "Diya" will feature the first officially paid service - document sharing for banks and other institutions. Forbes Ukraine with reference to the head of the "Diya" implementation team, Oleksiy Vovk.
From now on, institutions will pay a one-time fee of UAH 21,617 for connecting to the service, as well as UAH 9.8 for each successful document transfer operation. This includes the transfer of passports, TINs, and other official data that Diya users send in digital form to banks, insurance companies, or other services.
For application users, transferring a single document will remain free, but multisharing (simultaneous transfer of several documents) will already be subject to a fee - it will be covered by institutions.
As Vovk stated, Ukrainians make over 1.3 million sharing transactions through Diya every month. Among the main potential clients are banks, insurance companies, mobile operators, taxi services, payment systems, and electronic document management platforms.
“We are already talking about several hundred connections,” Vovk added. This means that a significant part of Ukrainian businesses are actively using Diya as a digital verification tool.
Paid document sharing is only the first stage of monetization. The Ministry of Digital Affairs' immediate plans include:

launch of paid “Diya.Pidpysa” for legal entities (for signing documents online);

launch of the Diia.OAuth service — digital user identification through the Diia portal.
Document sharing via Diya was launched in 2020. It became one of the key steps in the digitalization of communication between the state, business, and citizens. Now this convenience is getting a price tag — at least for companies.
