Since the beginning of July, Ukrainians are expected in the social sphere, technical control of cars and state services. Updates will affect millions of citizens - from internally displaced persons to ordinary power grids.
In the second month of summer, a new pilot project of basic social support will start in Ukraine for the most vulnerable categories of the population. It is, in particular, assistance for single mothers, large families, low -income households and families where parents are evading alimony. Payments will be personalized and calculated separately for everyone. The maximum amount of assistance will be 4500 UAH per family representative, a minor child or a person with a disability, and up to UAH 3150 per adult family member. Assistance will be provided for six months with an automatic continuation until the end of the project, which is designed for two years. But there is an important clarification: persons who are outside Ukraine or in the temporarily occupied territory will not be charged.
Another change in the energy industry. From now on, voltage in networks 230 volts instead of the usual 220 is considered standard. So Ukraine is approaching the standards of the European Union. Experts say that for household appliances it is safe, and the amounts in payments will not affect, because the tariff depends on the amount of consumption, not the level of voltage.
Equally important is the updating of the requirements for the technical control of vehicles. From now on, at least two cameras that will fix the process itself must be installed at the inspection points. Video and photography will be a mandatory component of control. This should reduce the number of fictitious checks and promote transparency. According to the current legislation, inspection should be passed by both passenger cars used in commercial activities and trucks, buses, taxi and trailers. The violation of this requirement provides a fine of 340 UAH.
In July, changes in the accounting of internally displaced persons also come into force. IDPs can now be canceled if a person is out of an objective reason for more than three months. In this case, payments are terminated. However, when returning to the homeland, the certificate can be renewed for personal request.
Another update touched by Ukrposhta's customers who use postpay service. The company has set limits: now an individual can carry out no more than ten transactions totaling up to 100 thousand hryvnias a month in branches. Up to 50 transfers per day and a maximum of 500 per month, with a total limit of 250 thousand hryvnias are allowed for postpaying operations. For the usual consumer, this is unlikely to be a problem, but a small business will have to design a FOP to work without restrictions.
The changes that start on July 1 are part of the broader reforms and the desire for European standards. It is important for every Ukrainian to be aware of innovations, because they affect not only financial stability, but also everyday life.
