From Monday, May 5, the air mass in Ukraine will begin to change - the warm spring in the west and north will be replaced by cool air. Forecasters warn of a drop in temperature, rain and thunderstorms in a number of regions. The south and east will still have comfortable weather, but even there the warming will not last long.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko in her forecast.
According to her, the air temperature will decrease in the western, northern, and most central regions:
-
in the west +10…+16 °C is expected,
-
in the north – +12…+18 °C,
-
in the center - up to +17…+22 °C.
However, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as in the south and east, warm weather will still persist - up to +25...+26 °C.
Rain with thunderstorms is expected, especially in the western and northern regions, as well as in the central regions (except for the Dnipro and its environs), in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions. The reason for this is a cold atmospheric front, which will bring not only precipitation, but also a change in wind - from southwest to northwest, sometimes with gusts.
In Kyiv, Monday will also be cool: during the day +15…+17 °C, short-term rains with thunderstorms are possible in places.
"The coming week will hide summer temperatures. It will be a bit fresh. Unless the warmer weather in the southeast will linger until Wednesday," Didenko noted.
According to preliminary data from the UkrGMC, cloudy and rainy weather may last for at least several days.
