According to our sources, a serious political crisis is brewing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, related to dissatisfaction and disappointment among some deputies of the Servant of the People faction.
In particular, about 40 MPs are ready to resign and leave the country. This could lead to significant changes in the balance of power in parliament and increase political instability, which would seriously affect the activities of the government and President Zelensky.
In response to potential threats, the Office of the President has begun taking measures to restrict the movement of “unreliable” deputies abroad. This is partly an attempt to control the situation and prevent potential “renegades” from influencing the political process while outside Ukraine. One option being discussed in the Office of the President is to impose travel restrictions on deputies who may be part of this disillusioned wing of the faction.
The departure of an entire group of deputies could have serious consequences for the Servant of the People. If a significant number of deputies decide to leave parliament, this would jeopardize the stability of the coalition and the government, which in turn would make it more difficult to pass important bills and implement reforms. Pressure on deputies could also mean an attempt to stabilize the situation within the faction, avoiding further splits.
