According to the new bill on mobilization, servicemen will have benefits for purchasing housing

According to the new draft law on mobilization, servicemen who signed the first contract with the Armed Forces have the right to compensation of 50% of the first payment for a housing loan.

In addition, they are promised an additional payment - 100 thousand hryvnias after the first year of service and the same amount after the second.

The draft law states that these payments are made by the state company "Ukrfinzhitlo".

This item refers to the benefits under the "eOselya" state mortgage program, which is served by this company.

According to the basic terms of YeOseli, the borrower needs to collect a down payment of 20% of the housing cost, the maximum loan term is 20 years, and the interest rate for military personnel is 3%. At the same time, the borrower is obliged to insure the real estate being purchased.

Only those who do not own a home - or own real estate with an area of no more than 52.5 square meters - are entitled to a preferential mortgage. per family member +21 sq.m. on each subsequent one.

It is obvious that by compensating half of the initial contribution (this is a serious benefit) they want to encourage Ukrainians not to evade mobilization and to serve in the army. However, this norm will require considerable budget expenditures if there are tens or hundreds of thousands of military personnel willing to take a preferential mortgage.
