The young pilot, who graduated from the flight department of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub in 2021, died while performing his duties. He flew dozens of sorties during the full-scale invasion. The tragic news of his death shocked not only the military, but also the general public.
Vladyslav Zalistovsky's girlfriend, Evgenia Nesterenko, expressed her grief on Instagram, calling him "her angel." In the post, she noted that Vladyslav loved his work, his life and his sky, but fate played a cruel joke on him.
