Experts believe that the West will not support Ukraine's victory over Russia, as it could lead to unpredictable turbulence in the region. Analyzing the geopolitical picture, where the West and Russia are the key players, the military officer emphasized that the victory of Ukraine could cause deep changes in the geopolitical balance of forces, which carries risks for the whole of Europe and the world order.
However, as military officer Yuriy Kasyanov notes, in reality the situation is not so tragic and generally works out in our favor.
According to him, the occupiers, despite their dominance in the air, multiple superiority in manpower and armored vehicles, in shells and drones, were unable to achieve a decisive victory in any direction.
"The summer is not over yet, the enemy's offensive potential has not been exhausted, but even in the case of local success, he does not have the resources to develop the offensive and make a strategic breakthrough. In fact, the adversary is fighting to improve its negotiating position in a possible peace bargain," Kasyanov noted.
At the same time, he is convinced that no one in Europe, not even Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, is interested in the defeat of Ukraine. "Our Western partners - both Biden and Trump - understand very well that the defeat of Ukraine will mean the complete and final breakdown of the world legal system that has developed after the Second World War, and the onset of an era of complete turbulence, which can easily end in a world nuclear war and a complete catastrophe for humanity They understand this in China, even our enemies in Russia understand it," the military officer said.
According to him, this is a plus for Ukraine, however, there is also a minus - no one is interested in the defeat of Russia. "The defeat of Russia is the same turbulence and perhaps with the same tragic end for the planet. Therefore, they will not allow us to lose, but they will not allow us to win either - with a parade in Moscow," Kasyanov said.
In his opinion, in such a stalemate, our task is to inflict such a military defeat on the Russian army that it will no longer be able to fight. "Once again: our task is to defeat the aggressor's army, not to liberate the territories. If the orc war machine collapses, so will the territories. And if it does not collapse, then they will not return, and the war will be eternal," Kasyanov said.
