In Ukraine, a draft law has been developed, which leads to a reduction of the conscription age to 18 years. The document is ready and waiting for approval, reports the online publication "Poltavshchyna" with reference to the representative of the 17th Poltava brigade, Serhiy Lunych.
He said that the brigade is preparing to receive a large replenishment soon, mostly boys of about 20 years old.
"Serhii Lunych reluctantly admitted that the draft law on lowering the conscription age from 25 to 18 is already on the table in the Verkhovna Rada and is waiting for its approval, and the higher-level mobilization bodies instructed the military units in advance to prepare for the arrival of new recruits so that those who do not Wasting time, they began combat training," the newspaper writes.
For their part, the deputies refute the information, however, that the Council has already prepared a draft law on lowering the mobilization age, which was reported by the Poltava publication with reference to the representative of the 17th Poltava brigade, Serhiy Lunych.
"There were no draft laws on lowering the mobilization age from 25 to 18, neither in the Verkhovna Rada nor in our specialized Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence in particular, and there are none," said the chairman of the committee, Zavitnevich.
People's deputies Venislavskyi ("Servant of the people", member of the defense committee) and Goncharenko (Eurosolidarity) also publish refutations.
The 17th brigade has already stated that Lunych is not a person in command of the brigade (neither commander nor deputy) and is not an authorized person to comment on draft laws or changes to them.
At the same time, the initial publication did not mention that this draft law has already been introduced or is being worked out by the deputies. It was reported that he was "lying on the table". Probably, at the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada.
