The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) decided to impose a preventive measure on the deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, who was found guilty of receiving illegal benefits. According to the report of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), the official will be kept in custody, but the court has determined an alternative - bail in the amount of 8 million hryvnias.
According to the investigation, the prosecutor demanded a $40,000 bribe for a change of jurisdiction in criminal proceedings, cancellation of property seizure and avoidance of criminal liability for a certain person. The law enforcement officers detained the official red-handed while receiving the entire amount.

The official is charged under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which refers to receiving an illegal benefit by an official in particularly large amounts.
