Foreign real estate, expensive cars and significant cash savings - all this appears in the declaration of the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Alexei Mazutka for 2024. Of greatest interest is the property recorded on his wife Natalia, who, according to the official, lives outside Ukraine and is a US citizen, writes a telegram-channel “Unbrostly, but a fact”.
According to the declaration, Natalia Mazutka owns two real estate objects abroad: an apartment of 126 sq.m. in Florida (USA), purchased in 2018 and apartments in Attica (Greece) with an area of 84 sq.m. It also registered two cars-Mercedes-Benz Gle (2018 release) and Toyota Highlander (2023).
In addition, the declaration states that the family has cash: $ 25,000, 6 thousand euros and 830 thousand hryvnias. The values of the Rolex and Patek Philippe are declared.
However, as experts pay attention, the official of the official is not officially engaged in business, is not the owner of enterprises, and does not appear in US official tax bases. This raises questions about sources of acquisition.
Alexei Mazutka himself in the answers of the NACC noted that his wife "an independent person, has long lived abroad" and that he does not affect his financial decisions. The National Bank does not publicly comment on the situation.
Anti -corruption control experts remind that such practices - the design of expensive property for relatives who have no income formally - are typical of Ukrainian officials and may indicate attempts to avoid declaring true sources of wealth.
Against the backdrop of the financial crisis, currency restrictions and war, such cases cause public outrage, especially when it comes to officials responsible for the state's financial policy.
