The first deputy chairman of the KSCA Mykola Povoroznik will be temporarily removed from the duties at the time of checking the circumstances of the probable celebration of his birthday on April 25 - on the day of official mourning in Kiev after a massive rocket strike. This was reported by the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko.
“I'm not going to cover anyone. Made a decision on investigation into the fact of allegedly some "celebration". The investigation will be involved in the deputies of the Kyiv City Council, who were initiators of the appropriate appeal, ”Klitschko wrote in his Telegram.
According to him, the mechanism of appointment and dismissal of the first deputy chairman of the KSCA is clearly defined by law, and no action outside the legal field may be done.
We will remind that on the night of April 24 Kiev was a rocket attack - 12 civilians were killed. The next day, the day of mourning was announced in the capital. However, according to journalists of Informer , it was on this day that the Povorozhnik gathered officials allegedly to celebrate his birthday in the municipal territory - and did so during working hours.
The Rozhnik himself called the publication "dirty manipulation" and denied any celebration: according to him, there was no "any music, gifts or fun."
The scandal has caused widespread resonance in the media and social networks, as well as a political reaction - the Kyiv City Council deputies initiated the official appeal to the mayor demanding to give an assessment of the actions of the deputy.
While the investigation is ongoing, Nicholas Povoroznyk has been removed, but no personnel decisions on his release have not been made.
