The higher anti-corruption court decided to arrest one of the suspects in the case of illegal seizure of nationalized oil products belonging to Serhiy Kurchenko in the amount of 967 million hryvnias. The decision was announced by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
According to information from the press service, on February 15, 2024, the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court, at the request of the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and with the approval of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), ordered a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative of bail in the amount of over 9 million hryvnias for one of the accomplices of the criminal organization. This organization, under suspicion, took possession of petroleum products worth 967 million hryvnias, which were seized in the case against the owner of the East European Fuel and Energy Company (SEPEK) group of companies, namely the former deputy director of the state enterprise. In the event of bail, the suspect will be assigned appropriate procedural duties.
