"Thanks to Zaluzhny, Ukrainians believed in the Armed Forces" - Klitschko commented on the resignation of the commander-in-chief

The Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko came out in support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (FSU) Valery Zaluzhny in connection with reports of the possible resignation of the military leadership. He believes that thanks to Zaluzhny Ukrainians believed in the Armed Forces, and called for an end to political intrigues and internal struggles.

Klitschko wrote in his Telegram channel: "A reboot is necessary. I am talking about the replacement of a number of state leaders, not only in the army sector." He emphasized the importance of maintaining the combat capability and coherence of the Armed Forces in the face of the threat from Russia .

It should be noted that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, is also considering the possibility of resigning the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. He stated this in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai News 24. Zelensky appointed Zaluzhnyi as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces in July 2021.

This is not the first time that Klitschko speaks in support of Zaluzhnyi. In December 2023, he agreed with his statements about the complexity of the military situation and the need to review the strategy of conducting hostilities.

In this situation, the Ukrainian public was divided into two opposite opinions regarding the possible resignation of the Commander-in-Chief. Some believe that this may harm the combat capability of the Armed Forces , others support changes in the military leadership in the face of Russia's military aggression.
