The 66-year-old head of the dormitories of one of the military towns in the Odessa region was exposed to demanding undue benefit from a serviceman. According to the police of the region, the official demanded $ 4.5 thousand for assistance in obtaining a dwelling, which the military had the right to receive without extraneous intervention.
According to the investigation materials, at the end of June, the official promised a 25-year military assistance in "fixing" and his family of a dwelling from the housing and operational department (KEV) and in the registration of the relevant documentation. She demanded a considerable amount for her services - $ 4,500.
However, the serviceman disagreed silently to give the money and appealed to law enforcement. For several weeks, the operatives documented the fact of the crime.
In mid -July, the woman called the military and insisted on the fastest transmission of the stipulated amount, noting that "money will speed up the process." During the transfer of funds in her office, the official was detained in procedural order, and the bribe was withdrawn.
Currently, the woman has been informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-obtaining an undue benefit for themselves for influencing the decision of the authorized person, combined with his demand. The sanction of the article provides up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
The court chose a measure of restraint for the suspect - detention with the possibility of making a bail of 408 780 UAH. It is known that the woman took advantage of this opportunity and came out.
Law enforcement officers continue investigative actions to establish all persons involved in the criminal scheme.
