After decades, as one of the main bread producers in the capital, Kyivkhlib has finally ceased to exist in its former form. Kyiv Economic Court found PJSC "Kyivkhlib" bankrupt a year and a half ago, but the brand from the shops did not disappear - it simply changed the owner.
As it turned out, Kyivkhlib brand is now controlled by the newly created structure - LLC "Trade House Kiev Bread", registered in 2021. The owner of the company is the offshore Seedfoods Holdings Ltd of Cyprus, and the final beneficiary is businessman Vyacheslav Suprunenko.
This man is known not only as the expart of the Kyiv City Council, but also as a former son -in -law of Exmer Leonid Chernovetsky - he was married to his daughter Christina until 2011.
Thus, the legendary brand, which has been associated with accessible "social" bread for privileges for decades, was under the control of the Cyprus offshore associated with people from Chernovetsky's environment.
So far, the new structure retains the name and assortment, but the actual disappearance of a historical enterprise raises questions about the further fate of production, pricing and employment in the industry.
