Zelensky and Aliyev agreed to continue energy partnership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the European Political Community summit in Copenhagen, the press service of the Ukrainian head of state reported on October 2.

The leaders discussed diplomatic efforts to establish real peace in Ukraine and possible ways to achieve it as soon as possible.

The presidents paid special attention to energy partnership. Zelensky thanked Azerbaijan for its assistance in supporting the Ukrainian energy system. The parties emphasized that they are interested in continuing and deepening cooperation in this area.

In addition, the presidents touched upon the issue of potential defense cooperation and agreed on further contacts at various levels.
