The idea of creating a special fund worth 100 billion euros to support Ukrainian defense was discussed during a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The meeting took place during Stoltenberg's visit to Ukraine.
Zelenskyy reported that he and Jens Stoltenberg discussed in Kyiv, among other things, the Secretary General's idea of creating a special NATO fund to support Ukraine in the amount of 100 billion euros for a period of 5 years.
"The allies really have the opportunity to implement such an initiative. Details are very important to us. It is important that this is not at the expense of the bilateral volumes specified in our agreements on security guarantees," Zelenskyy noted.
