Today, Ukraine does not have the ammunition to launch a counterattack, but it is provided with sufficient ammunition for defense, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his telethon speech on Saturday, April 6.
"We lack the shells to conduct counteroffensive operations. But we have enough means for defense that allow us to strike enemy aircraft, warehouses, and bases," the president emphasized.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine also lacks shells to repel counteroffensive actions by the Russian Federation.
"As for responding to their actions in any direction, we have a sufficient number of long-range missiles and weapons. However, this is not enough for us. We have concluded agreements, but we are not receiving the necessary amount of missiles," Zelenskyy noted.
The President also expressed concern over the delay in the vote on aid to Ukraine in the US Congress, stressing that this has become a domestic political issue. He is confident that American aid is critically important for the security of Ukraine and the entire world and hopes for a positive vote.
