President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke about changes in the management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are aimed at reducing bureaucracy in the army and improving efficiency. According to the president, these changes provide for greater participation of high-ranking officials in hostilities and directly at the front.
The head of state said this during the 3rd International Conference on Food Security Grain From Ukraine.
The President noted that currently the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi has a "main task", which is to reduce bureaucracy in the army.
Zelensky also emphasized that "the morale of the military is the most important."
"And if, but this is for the military to decide, if the transition to the "corps-brigade" system, which they are proposing today, is a reduction of this distance from the general to the soldier, if this bureaucracy is reduced, let them do so," said the leader state
In addition, the president stated that an officer should see a soldier. Zelenskyi said that for him personally, "a general who has not been in the trenches is not a general, despite his experience."
"And this is very important. An officer must see a soldier. A general who has not been in the trench for me is not a general, despite his experience. With all due respect, the most difficult situation today is on the front line, in the trenches. The generals must be in the trenches. This is the kind of war," the president said.
We will remind that on November 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the "Sustainability Plan" of Ukraine, which consists of 10 points, to the Council. The second point of this plan envisages a change in approaches to management in the army.
