President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the country is approaching the end of the war with Russia, and called on allies to more actively support the Ukrainian army. These words were uttered during his last address to the international community.
He said this in an interview with ABC News.
The plan for victory is the strengthening of Ukraine. That is why we ask our friends, our allies to strengthen us. This is very important. I think we are closer to peace than we think. We are closer to the end of the war
The publication notes that Zelenskyi has repeatedly appealed to the United States and Britain to lift restrictions on the use of long-range missiles, which they provided to Ukraine to hit targets deep in Russia.
At the same time, Russian President Putin warned that the use of Western weapons to strike Russian targets would be seen as a serious escalation of the war and a direct challenge from NATO countries.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Putin is afraid of the Kursk operation, which is being conducted by the Armed Forces.
"It's true. He is very afraid," the Ukrainian president noted, explaining this by the fact that the Russians saw his inability to defend their territory.
