Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Bloomberg, named the key conditions under which Ukraine is ready to begin negotiations with Russia. Among the main demands are security guarantees and the complete withdrawal of Russian troops to the positions they occupied as of February 24, 2022.
Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Bloomberg.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the quality of negotiations is important, not the timing.
So that Putin can't come back. And he wants that. He still won't rest until he's put in his place or until he destroys Ukraine
The Ukrainian head of state stated that negotiations can be fair and unfair. The question is who Ukraine will be with at this time.
If it is not alone, then Ukraine will do everything to ensure that the negotiations are fair. And fair are guarantees that the enemy will return, at least, to the line of full-scale invasion. This would be a fair opportunity to start a dialogue. But it can be different, it happens in life
He noted that it all depends on how Ukraine and others view justice – equally or differently. In particular, it depends on the new US administration, on the EU, on their independence, and including the Global South.
“The question is whether Ukraine will be alone, as it was in the Normandy format, and everyone else, or Ukraine will be with allies and this time Ukraine will be alone. This is what fair negotiations are,” Zelensky added.
