Zelensky signed a law that extends the period of passing the VLK for limited fit until 5 June 2025

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a bill that extends the period of re -examination for limited citizens' limited citizens until June 5, 2025. Law 4235-IX was supported by the Verkhovna Rada on February 12, 2025, and now all citizens of Ukraine aged 25 to 60 years, recognized as limited to the service, have the opportunity to pass the medical commission before the specified date.

New conditions for the passage of VLK
citizens of this category are obliged to independently receive a referral to the Military Medical Commission (VLK), contacting the territorial center of acquisition and social support or through the e-cabinet of the conscript. It is important that you do not have to wait for a summary for a medical examination.

The reasons for the extension of the period
before the VLK were set by February 4, 2025. However, due to the large number of citizens who did not have time to pass the commission, it was decided to extend the term. A member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Fedor Venislavsky, noted that violation of military accounting rules leads to administrative responsibility. Therefore, in order to avoid fines and enable all citizens to pass a commission, the term was extended.
