President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposes the Verkhovna Rada for three months to extend the regime of martial law and general mobilization. The corresponding drafiks have already been registered in Parliament and relate to both regimes by August 6, 2025.
The information about this appeared on the official portal of the Verkhovna Rada. The laws have numbers 13172 (on mobilization) and 13173 (on martial law). The documents are currently under consideration by the National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee.
We will remind, for the first time the martial law regime was introduced on February 24, 2022 - on the day of the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Since then, its action has been regularly extended every 90 days. The same applies to mobilization, which allows to form, replenish and maintain the combat capability of the army.
The current continuation will mean that both modes will be at least until the beginning of August. This decision is still approved by the Verkhovna Rada, but given the practice of previous votes, the support of deputies is practically guaranteed.
General mobilization allows you to call men from 18 to 60 years of age, unless they have grounds for delay or exclusion from military accounting. At the same time, the continuation of martial law provides for the preservation of a special legal regime: strengthening the powers of military administrations, restrictions on the departure of certain categories of citizens abroad, the possibility of labor mobilization, etc.
