President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an important meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters, where critical issues regarding the situation at the front, weapons production, and the provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were discussed. He reported this on Telegram.
At the meeting, Zelenskyy listened to a report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who presented detailed information about the frontline situation, in particular in the Pokrovsky, Torets, and Kharkiv directions. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently on the frontline and is keeping the situation under personal control.
In addition, intelligence reported on forecasts of the development of the situation on the front and the nearest objectives of Russian troops. This allows the Ukrainian command to better plan its actions and respond to possible threats.
One of the key decisions of the meeting was to allocate additional funding to Ukraine's missile program. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation Mykhailo Fedorov, and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin reported on the Defense Forces' needs for drones and missiles by the end of the year, as well as the dynamics of their production.
"The Stavka decision allocated additional funding to our missile program. We plan to increase the production of our own missiles. We also discussed the issue of equipping additional brigades with weapons and equipment. We are actively working with partners," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
Ukraine is also actively working to expand drone production. Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and Industry Anna Gvozdiar reported that the country has the potential to produce over three million drones per year. This will be possible thanks to sufficient production capacity and cooperation with international partners.
