Zelensky: Return of territories requires diplomatic solutions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged that the Armed Forces of Ukraine currently lack the resources to fully liberate the occupied territories solely by military means. The head of state stated this during his latest interview, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic tools for achieving peace.

"Our military doesn't have the strength to do this. That's true. We really need to find diplomatic solutions," the president said in an interview with Kyodo News.

He stressed that this will be possible "only when we know that we are strong enough" to prevent Russia from launching a new invasion.

In particular, for this purpose, he again called for inviting Ukraine to NATO.

Zelensky noted that the war has entered a "difficult period" and Russia is actively advancing in Donbas.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president stated the impossibility of military victory in an interview with Fox News.

He also stated that Ukraine could agree to a halt to the war on the front line if it became a member of NATO.
