The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed that he had offered financial compensation to the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico. We are talking about covering possible losses of Slovakia as a result of the termination of the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory.
"We gave him a proposal regarding possible compensation for Slovaks - precisely for Slovaks - losses from Russian transit, and alternatives regarding transit - any other gas, not Russian, at the request of the European Commission. We were ready to do it. Fico did not want compensation for the Slovaks. And does not want to cooperate with the European Commission. For some reason, it is more profitable for him in Moscow", - writes the President of Ukraine in Kh.
He declares that Fico is "fighting for money, and hardly for money for Slovakia." And accuses of working for the Kremlin.
"Shadow agreements with Putin are either trading in state interests or working for one's own pocket," Zelenskyy said.
Previously, Fitso stated that Zelensky offered him 500 million euros from Russian assets in exchange for Ukraine's accession to NATO.
After Fico's trip to Moscow, Zelensky called on Slovak law enforcement officers to start an investigation into Fico's ties to the Kremlin.
