Today, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, stated that no one in the world demands that Ukraine hold elections during wartime. He emphasized that such political processes can be organized only after achieving a just peace, when the situation in the country is stabilized.
We all know that the Constitution of Ukraine and the law will not allow elections to be held in wartime. And no one in the world demanded and does not demand this from Ukraine, but we have some people in Ukraine who may be so hungry for it that they want to fight within our state more than for the sake of our state. They want political disputes in the trenches, like in TV studios. This is harmful for Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelenskyi also said during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada that the elections will be held after the achievement of a just peace. According to him, the law does not allow holding elections in wartime. "Ukraine first needs a fair peace, and then Ukraine will hold fair elections," he said.
