President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi arrived in Singapore, where the "Shangri-La Dialogue" conference is ongoing, as he announced on June 1.
He called the conference "a key platform for discussing security issues in the Asia-Pacific region."
"Global security is impossible when the largest country in the world ignores recognized borders, international law and the UN Charter, blackmails with hunger, darkness and nuclear weapons," the politician said.
Zelensky recalled the Peace Summit in Switzerland, stressing that "it will be important for us to hear the voice of the Asia-Pacific region there."
"In Singapore, I will speak at a conference and hold a number of meetings, in particular with the President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramush-Orto, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Singaporean investors," the message reads. . The think tank International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), which organizes the conference, announced Zelensky's speech on June 2.
The Shangri-La Dialogue conference takes place in Singapore from May 31 to June 2.
