Zelensky appointed Oleg Ivashchenko as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service

On Tuesday, March 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Oleg Ivashchenko as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. This information is contained in Decree No. 189/2024, published on the official website of the Office of the President.

Oleg Ivashchenko replaced Oleksandr Litvinenko in this position, who became the new secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

In addition, with the help of decree No. 186/2024, the president dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the post of secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

Lytvynenko headed the Foreign Intelligence Service from July 23, 2021. Previously, he worked as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council from April 4, 2014 to August 13, 2019.
