Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed the opinion that the United States is not ready to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles, capable of striking at a distance of up to 2,400 km. In an interview, Zelenskyy stressed that these missiles could significantly strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities in the context of the ongoing conflict with Russia.
He came to this conclusion after information about this secret point of his "victory plan" was leaked to the press, for which he rebuked the White House yesterday.
"If you want to publicly say some details of closed annexes that are in the plan, for example, regarding missiles that we asked our partners for, then first say what I am giving, and then tell everyone what is in the annex. Because when one of the partners first says what is in the annex, it says that he does not really want to give something, in this way he postpones the decision," Zelensky said.
As a reminder, a senior American official anonymously told the NYT that the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is an "absolutely impossible request.".
