President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree on the introduction of regular personal sanctions against individuals and legal entities, which, according to the Head of State, conduct business in the occupied territories and "help to justify aggression." Among the persons are the fugitive MPs Artem Dmitruk and Alexander Onishchenko, as well as the producer and owner of Star Media Vladislav Rashin.
The decree was published on the website of the Presidential Office. In total, 13 people and 8 companies were included in the list, of which six were registered in Cyprus, and two more in the Russian Federation.
Artem Dmitruk, a former people's deputy from the IPP and scandalously known for his pro -Russian views, left Ukraine in August 2024. As militiamen found out, he crossed the border illegally, not indicating that he was a current People's Deputy. In Moldova, he was perceived as a regular refugee.
Dmitruk is currently wanted, and his escape has become the subject of a separate criminal proceedings of the DBR on the facts of the illegal crossing of the border. Persons who helped him leave Ukraine were also identified - they have already been informed of suspicion.
Another person involved in the sanctions is Alexander Onishchenko, the expature and the person involved in the so -called "gas business". In April 2024, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court issued him a sentence in absentia: 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. He is recognized as the organizer of the theft of more than UAH 740 million of state funds within the framework of joint activity with PJSC “Ukrgasvydobuvannya”.
The case lasted for years, but the sentence became an important precedent for anti -corruption jurisprudence.
The sanctions also touched the producer and owner of Star Media Film Company Vladislav Ryashin. The reasons for the inclusion in the list did not directly detail, but the sources indicate doing business in occupation and probable cooperation with the Russian market, which is contrary to the principles of Ukraine's sanction policy in war.
“The sanctions were those who consider the norm to earn in occupation and pay taxes to the occupiers. This is only the beginning of more work. We have information from special services - we will react in principle, ” - said President Zelensky.
It is expected that the NSDC will expand the sanction list in the near future, including new persons involved in business, politicians and media that have violated Ukraine's national interests.
