Zelensky said that under Trump the war will be over, but he does not know exactly how this will happen

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the war in Ukraine could end under US President Donald Trump, but he did not have a clear answer as to how this could happen. In his statement, Zelenskyy stressed that the lack of clarity in Trump's strategy for the war in Ukraine does not allow for specific actions or consequences for the conflict.

"The change in US policy suggests that the war will be over. I don't know how. Our task is not to give them the opportunity to persuade us to make concessions," the president said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.

Zelensky also made it clear that he would not negotiate with Moscow alone. “Negotiations with Russia are possible only not alone with a murderer and on the condition that Ukraine is strong,” the president said.

He also commented on the statements of Trump's advisers about the need to freeze the war on the front line with Russian control over the captured territories.

"I will only take negotiations with Trump seriously. Not with his advisers. This is the level of presidents," Zelensky said.

At the same time, he still believes that “Putin will not be allowed to negotiate surrender terms for Ukraine.” According to him, Trump did not tell him: “I will become president and sit down at the negotiating table.”.

At the same time, he made it clear that he did not want to negotiate an end to the war now.

"Putin now wants to negotiate on capitulation terms regarding Ukraine, but this will not happen, we will not let him. Negotiations with the Russian Federation are possible provided that Ukraine is strong, negotiations as of today are a losing option, in a weak situation there is nothing to do," Zelensky said.
