President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Western countries to take urgent measures to end the war in Ukraine by the end of autumn 2024. Speaking at a meeting within the framework of the international platform "Ramstein", Zelenskyy stressed the importance of ending the Russian aggression, which has been going on for over a year and a half.
“Let’s make this fall the time when Russian aggression ends. Thus, we will restore a reliable international security order. We must do this,” Zelensky stressed. This call has become an important part of Ukraine’s strategic position on the international stage, as the president demands intensified efforts to achieve peace.
Earlier, in early August, Zelensky expressed his intention to hold a second peace summit this fall, to which he plans to invite representatives of the Russian Federation. The president believes that autumn is near, but there is still enough time to prepare for the summit and involve most of the world's countries.
Kyiv is preparing an action plan to end the war, which is to form the basis of the summit talks. The plan includes both political and practical aspects aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
