Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, stated that no one in the world demands that Ukraine hold elections during a war. He emphasized that such political processes can be organized only after a just peace is achieved, when the situation in the country stabilizes.
We all know that the Constitution of Ukraine and the law will not allow holding elections in wartime. And no one in the world has demanded and does not demand this from Ukraine, but we have some people in Ukraine who may be so hungry for this that they want to fight inside our state more than for our state. They want political disputes in the trenches, like in TV studios. This is detrimental to Ukraine
Also, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, announced that the elections will be held after a just peace is achieved. According to him, the law does not allow holding elections in wartime. “Ukraine first needs a just peace, and then Ukraine will hold fair elections,” he said.
