President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decided to dismiss Volodymyr Maybozhenko from the position of head of the Brovary district state administration of the Kyiv region. This information was announced in an order published on the official website of the Office of the President on April 27.
As a reminder, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv decided to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 2 months without the possibility of bail to an official of the district military administration. This happened in connection with suspicion under Part 2 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated).
The investigation informed the official of the suspicion, which could result in up to eight years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is still ongoing.
According to law enforcement agencies, on April 26, a traffic accident occurred in the city of Brovary with injuries. It was established that an official of the Regional State Administration failed to obey a prohibiting traffic light signal and hit pedestrians. Four people were injured as a result of the accident, including a two-year-old girl.
Also, at the scene, it was determined that the perpetrator of the accident was intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 2.31 ppm.
The head of the Kyiv OBA, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced that the head of the RDA would be dismissed. The department was also informed about the condition of those injured during the attack in Brovary.
