The women's saber fencing team of Ukraine won a historic victory at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, becoming the champions of the team tournament. This triumph not only brought Ukraine the first gold medal at the Olympics, but also became a symbol of national pride and the high level of Ukrainian sports.

Ukraine won the first Olympic gold in Paris thanks to the women's saber fencing team. In the final, our athletes beat the South Korean team with a score of 45:42, becoming the winners of the team tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Ukrainian team was represented by Olga Kharlan, Olena Kravatska, Alina Komaschuk and Yulia Bakastova. Harlan, Komaschuk and Bakastova fenced in the decisive match.
On the way to the finals, the Ukrainian saber fencers defeated Italy in the quarterfinals (45:37), and later Japan in the semifinals (45:32), securing a medal.
