Journalistic investigation about the owners of the Koral sanatorium in Crimea, which received millions from the authorities of the Russian Federation

In the latest investigation, journalists found a Ukrainian company registered in occupied Crimea under the name "Coral Sanatorium" and receiving significant funds from the authorities of the Russian Federation.

This is evidenced by the investigation of the "Scheme" project.

"This, lawyers claim, can be considered a collaborative activity. At the same time, not all the founders of the Russian company recognize themselves as founders: they say that the documents were forged."

Details: It is reported that the sanatorium "Coral" is a six-story pale pink building in the private sector of Yevpatoria, in the village of Zaozerne. From here to the coast of the Black Sea - about a kilometer.

According to journalists, in 2005, "Coral" acquired a "private enterprise - the firm "BNA" from Rivne, and five years later, two friends became its co-owners. Faina Tedeeva is at that time the wife of Elbrus Tedeeva, a People's Deputy from the Party of Regions, and Natalia Shchokina is the wife of the president of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAUP) Rostislav Shchokin.

According to the investigation, sports and nepotism unite Tedeev and Shtokin. The first is an Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, the second is a master of sports and president of the Kyiv Wrestling Association.

Faina Tedeeva told "Schem" journalists that she broke up with the ex-regional nine years ago, but confirmed his long-standing friendship with Rostislav Shchokin: "they are godfathers, the husband (former - ed.) baptized their (Shchokin's - ed.) child" .

Together with Shtokina and Tedeeva in 2010, the Belarusian Viktor Kreydych became a co-founder of the BNA company. He is also a sports functionary: master of sports in wrestling, prize-winner of the USSR championships, currently the deputy chairman of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation.

And although Rostislav Shchokin told "Schemes" that Kreydich is a person who "used to know" and his family has not maintained relations with him "for a very, very long time", the Belarusian wrestler remained Natalia Shchokina's business partner in Ukraine almost until the end of 2022 .

According to the analytical platform YouControl, Shchokina remained a co-owner of Sanatorium Koral LLC (the name of the company BNA, which owns the sanatorium, after it was renamed in 2013) until November 2022.

"The desire of Ukrainian partners to distance themselves from Viktor Krejdich after the start of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation can be easily explained: he has pro-Russian views, supports military aggression against Ukraine and participates in activities with the participation of Russian security forces," the investigation says.

"Scheme" sources in the Ukrainian special service reported that "counter-intelligence work is underway" regarding Kreydych.

Investigators have established that important changes in the activities of Coral Sanatorium LLC took place in 2014, when Russia occupied the Crimean peninsula.

In particular, in November, a clone of the Ukrainian company appeared in the register of legal entities of the Russian Federation - the Russian LLC Sanatorium Coral with the same founders. Its shares were distributed as follows: 60% to Nataliya Shtokina, 20% to Faina Tedeeva, and 20% to Viktor Kreydych. The director of the company was Yuri Pivovarov, and at that time, and now he is the head of the Ukrainian LLC Sanatorium Koral.

According to the calculations of "Schem" journalists, for the period from 2015 to the end of 2022, the Russian "Coral" received from the authorities of the Russian Federation contracts for 196.48 million Russian rubles (this is 2.2 million US dollars). The last agreement with the "Directorate for ensuring the activities of labor organizations" was concluded in May 2022. In addition, LLC Sanatorium "Coral" received Russian state support in the amount of about 20,000 US dollars during the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to information received by journalists from a source on the administrative border between mainland Ukraine and Crimea, Nataliya Shkokina visited the occupied peninsula at least twice after 2014.

Thus, the journalists found the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Crimea in Simferopol, which considered the appeal of Natalya Shtokina - already after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, she asked to declare the meetings of the participants of LLC Sanatorium "Coral" invalid and to liquidate the company.

"Schem" journalists also received the minutes of the meeting from November 2014, at which a decision was made to register the Russian LLC Sanatorium "Coral" in Crimea "in connection with bringing it into line with the legislation of the Russian Federation." It has the signature of both Nataliya Shtokina and Faina Tedeeva. Viktor Krejdich, as mentioned, was absent.

At the disposal of the journalists is another protocol of the general meeting of the members of LLC Sanatorium "Coral" with the signatures of Shtokina and Tedeeva - about changes to the charter.

Journalists spoke with Yuri Pivovarov, who is listed as a director in the Ukrainian Coral Sanatorium LLC and in the Russian Coral Sanatorium LLC. It was he who was authorized at the meeting in November 2014 to submit a package of documents to the Russian tax office.

He stated that Shchokina and Tedeeva were aware that in 2014 the company was being re-registered in accordance with Russian legislation. "They own (the Russian enterprise - Ed.). How would we do it without them? What kind of nonsense is this?" Pyvovarov was indignant.

Svitlana Mashkova, who introduced herself as Nataliya Shtokina's attorney-representative, in turn, called these words false information.

"Schem" journalists found signatures of Tedeeva and Shtokina on documents of Ukrainian companies. Visually, they may seem similar, but for a professional comparison, experts told journalists, you need not scans, but original documents, and the legal significance can only be proven by an official examination ordered by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

At the same time, not all the founders of the Russian company recognize themselves as founders: they say that the documents were forged. And the ex-wife of ex-regional Faina Tadeeva admits that she could sign some documents at the request of her husband. Including regarding business registration under Russian laws on the occupied peninsula.
