Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine on European Integration Olga Stephanyshyn lives in a luxury apartment in the center of Kiev-in an elite residential complex near the Golden Gate metro station. However, this real estate does not appear in her declaration, although the official has confirmed that she has been living there since last year. This is stated in a new investigation of journalists Bihus.info.
According to journalists with the help of a hidden camera, Stephanishin regularly comes to this apartment on a government car, accompanied by security. The lack of information about the housing in the declaration raises questions - according to the law, civil servants should indicate not only their own property, but also what they actually use, in particular rented or transferred for free use.
When asked by journalists about the origin of funds for elite real estate and several parking spaces recorded on the father, Stephanyshyn replied that it was a family investment: they say, her father has a profitable business, and her mother is an accountant in this case. Earlier, she said, the family sold an apartment on Degtyarivska and purchased a new home.
However, as journalists have established, no financial revenues from her father's business have been in the last 10 years. This casts doubt on the accuracy of the Viceremian's explanations.
Investigators have paid special attention to the fact that, in addition to Viceremieric duties, Stephanishin also performs the functions of the Ministry of Justice. It should be a model of compliance with the norms of anti -corruption legislation, in particular - the obligation to enter into the declaration the property used as of the last day of the year. She did not do it.
We will remind that in 2022 the mother of the official Nadiya Kravets also purchased an apartment at the residential complex "Lviv Square" with an area of about 100 square meters for more than 3 million hryvnias.
This is not the first investigation into bihus.info against government representatives. Earlier, journalists drew attention to the suspicious appearance in the office of the president of the new official-Risbek Toktoshev, and to the mass sale of elite homes in Koncha Zaspa, where the former prosecutors, customs and their relatives became the owners. The customs officer's union received over UAH 111 million for these equipment.
