In Odesa region, militiamen exposed a 50-year-old resident of the Tatarbunar territorial community in a false report on the preparation of the explosion. According to police, the woman intentionally called law enforcement agencies and reported the threat of explosion in one of the territorial centers of manning and social support.
Police officers who carefully surveyed the building and the surrounding area arrived promptly. No explosive devices were detected. Later on the same day, the malefactor was established - the investigation found out that she tried to prevent the mobilization of her relative in this way.
“We have started criminal proceedings and, gathering enough evidence, reported the person about the suspicion. It is a deliberately false notice of the preparation of an explosion for objects that provide the activity of public authorities. The sanction of Part 2 of Art. 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides up to eight years in prison, ”said Andrey Mashchenko, Head of Police Department No. 1 of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky District.
Police emphasize that such actions are not only a crime, but also pose a danger to others, distracting law enforcement agencies from real threats.
