In the Nikolaev area, a 47-year-old resident of the Voznesensky district was found guilty of treason and illegally disseminating information on the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About it reports the regional prosecutor's office.
The court imposed a sentence of 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation found that in March 2024 the man voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the representative of the Russian Federation. His task was to collect intelligence information about the places of dislocation and movement of the Armed Forces units in the territory of the Voznesensky district.
The attacker went around the area on his own car, using a DVR for the hidden fixation of positions of the Ukrainian military.
He conveyed the collected data through a chat bot, administrated Sergei Lebedev, a person known under the pseudonym "Lokhmati", who played the role of a mediator between the agent and the representative of the Russian Special Service.
The suspect was exposed by law enforcement officers in December 2024. The court found him guilty of state treason in martial law.
