Oleksandr Kvarta, a famous Ukrainian singer and participant of the show "Ukraine has talent", shared his interesting life story, revealing some details about his past and present.
Alexander said that he once lived in Moscow for a long time and even tried to build a career in Russia. It was there that he met and interacted with such famous personalities as the Russian singer Alla Pugacheva.
The star of the show "Ukraine has talent" Oleksandr Kvarta, who was remembered by the audience thanks to the song "Seniorita, I'm in love", talked about how he lived in Moscow and received money from the Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. The performer shared this with Obozrevatel journalists in an interview.
Oleksandr received his first higher education as a teacher of painting and drawing. He first performed in the program "Karaoke on the Maidan" on Khreshchatyk in Kyiv, and then took part in the TV show "Ukraine has talent", where he reached the semi-finals. After his participation in these shows, he gained wide popularity. In 2011, he also took part in the National Selection for Eurovision, although Mika Newton went to represent Ukraine. However, this did not reduce the artist's popularity.
Kvarta comes from Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. He studied at a music school in the violin class and was engaged in ballet. At one time, Oleksandr graduated from the pedagogic school in Lebedyn and became a graduate of the Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. Participation in various festivals and competitions gave him the opportunity to start his musical career even in his student years.
The singer frankly said that he lived in Russia for a long time in the hope of increasing his popularity. He even entered the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts to direct film and television. However, after some time he realized that this was not what he wanted and returned to Ukraine. There he met his future wife, who was a dancer.
Kvarta also reported how his song got into Alla Pugacheva's repertoire. He sent several of his compositions to a competition held by Pugacheva herself on "Radio Alla", and one of them called "On the way to the sun" was performed by the Primadonna in early January 2010.
It was a great success for Alexander, but he also felt tired from the fact that he did not perform this composition himself. However, in the end, Alexander received the copyright and royalties for the use of his song.
Ukrainian performer Oleksandr Kvarta said that from now on, more and more Ukrainian songs appear in his repertoire, and there are fewer and fewer songs in Russian. Radical changes also took place in society, many friends and acquaintances switched to the Ukrainian language. Kvarta also took a principled position — not to communicate in Russian on social networks. However, in spite of this, the performer noted that after he translated his popular song "Seniorita" into Ukrainian, he received a lot of hate from fans.
The performer also mentioned the invasion of Kharkiv when he was in the city. He felt fear and hid from rocket attacks. Now he lives with his family in Ivano-Frankivsk, because their apartment in Kharkiv is regularly shelled. Oleksandr also performs in military units and hospitals, and organizes charity concerts to raise funds for the military. He considers it important to maintain a good mood and positive energy in difficult times for the country.
