Famous Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich shared a touching story about her father, 69-year-old military surgeon Leonid Grigorovich. He has been serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and saving the lives of the wounded in the Kharkiv direction.
The actress said that, despite his age, her father cannot leave the service. “Every time my father comes on a short vacation, he says that he will no longer be able to go. After all, it is difficult to operate at his age. But after recovery, he returns to the front,” Zlata shared in an interview with “Closer to the Stars.” According to her, her father always says: “You won’t wait,” which testifies to his indomitable spirit and dedication to the service.
Zlata also actively helps Ukrainian defenders. She holds charity concerts to support the military. “I started going to concerts even before it became mainstream. I sleep in buses and dream of a bed that doesn’t go anywhere. A typical trip to the military looks like this: we leave Kyiv, drive hundreds of kilometers, give a concert, then move again, another concert and return home,” the singer said, emphasizing the importance of supporting the military in these difficult times.
