The British edition of The Telegraph reports that representatives of the US Republican Party are preparing a new seven -piece plan for the settlement of war in Ukraine, which will be presented in London. The key author of the document is the retired General Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump Advisor.
According to the publication, the plan provides for the recognition of control over the occupied territories, the refusal of Ukraine to membership in NATO, the transfer of strategic objects under the control of the US and a new model of cooperation of Washington and Moscow.
Seven points of conditional "peace"
Among the main provisions of the document:
-
fixation of the current front line and de facto recognition of territories captured by Russia;
-
partial withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson region with a guarantee of access of Ukraine to the Dnieper;
-
refusal to join NATO, but to preserve the European course;
-
The deployment of European forces without US guarantees, which, as The Telegraph notes, makes the mechanism unstable;
-
Transfer of the United States of Zaporizhzhya, which Russia is now held;
-
concluding an agreement in favor of US companies on access to Ukrainian resources;
-
Removal of sanctions from Russia and launch of US -RF cooperation in the field of energy.
According to the newspaper, the authors of the plan want to enlist the consent of Ukraine this week, after which the document will be presented in Moscow. However, the Government of Ukraine does not expect the final ultimatum and emphasize that according to the Constitution, the abandonment of territories is possible only through a referendum that cannot be conducted in martial law.
In the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they also do not believe in agreement during this meeting and consider it as an opportunity for the Ukrainian side to voice their own vision of peace.
