Ukraine's negative balance of foreign trade in goods in 2023 increased 2.5 times compared to 2022 - to $27.38 billion from $11.16 billion. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
According to the State Statistics Service, exports of goods from Ukraine in 2023 fell by 18% compared to 2022 - to $36.19 billion, while imports increased by 14.9% - to $63.56 billion.
The State Statistics Service specified that in December 2023, compared to November 2023, seasonally adjusted exports increased by 19.2% to $3.17 billion, and imports by 12.5% to $5.56 billion.
The seasonally adjusted foreign trade balance in December 2023 was negative and amounted to $2.39 billion, while in the previous month it was also negative - $2.28 billion.
The export-import coverage ratio in 2023 was 0.57 (in 2022 – 0.8).
Foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 230 countries around the world.
It was previously reported that Ukraine's negative balance of foreign trade in goods in January-November 2023 increased 2.8 times compared to the same period in 2022 - to $24.35 billion from $8.57 billion.
