The popularity of Ukrainian cinema has increased: a review of new films for 2024

Interest in Ukrainian cinema continues to grow, and 2023 recently witnessed numerous premieres that received recognition both in Ukraine and abroad. According to forecasts, this trend of increasing interest will continue in 2024, and the public expects even more exciting premieres.

  1. "La Palisade" (January 11)
    • Director: Philip Sotnychenko
    • Starring: Andrii Zhurba, Navruz Pashaev, Oleksandr Parkhomenko and others

    Five-year work on the film has ended, and Philip Sotnichenko's film is ready for the premiere. The plot unfolds in 1996, before the signing of Protocol No. 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights, and tells the story of a forensic psychiatrist who is faced with a complicated history of murder.

  2. "Another Franco" (February 8)
